Joshua’s approach to architecture is shaped from his love of nature and the environment. He’s inspired by ambitious design in architecture and is especially passionate about good design and clear design communications, caring deeply about quality craftsmanship and performance. With more than 25 years experience, Joshua is a key force in ensuring our work is realised with flawless structural integrity and a high level of finish—a quality our projects are renowned for.

Nicole Mulders

Co-founder & Director

Born and educated in Germany, Nicole has a design and engineering background with more than 15 years international and national project development experience. Her interest in design, art, architecture and people underpins her leadership and support for our team, which ensures the business continues to build a strong, positive and engaging culture, and where her operational, strategic and business development role is fundamental to our success.

Danielle Portelli

Practice Manager

Danielle has a background in property, finance and estate planning with 18 years’ experience in some of Sydney’s best law firms. Her love of interiors and design drew her away from the corporate world in exchange for a more creative environment. She is responsible for management of the practice, supporting the Directors, and helping the team work to the highest standards. She is also passionate about nurturing the firm’s down-to-earth culture.

Angus Whittle

Graduate of Architecture

Angus has a Bachelor of Environments from the University of Melbourne and achieved his Masters of Architecture at the University of NSW. His studies and travels are a constant source of inspiration, leading to a fascination with Japanese design thinking as it is applied to architecture, but also in wider terms including urban, industrial and cultural design. Angus enjoys being immersed in nature, which profoundly impacts his work, thoughts and actions.

Stephanie Kapetanellis

Graduate of Architecture

Having studied in Florence, at the University of Arts, Italy, Stephanie has experienced first hand the impact of culture on the built environment. Her background in Interior Architecture also underpins the level of detail in her work and supports her clear design ethic, which ensures the user is central to the form and function of a space. She has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, and a Masters of Architecture from the University of NSW, and has also exhibited at the Regional Gallery for Art Express.

Madeleine Whitby

Graduate of Architecture

Maddie’s experiences studying internationally—learning about social housing in Vienna and informal settlements in Fiji—underscores her interest in adaptive reuse architecture and humanitarian architecture, where people are at the forefront of design. She’s influenced by the psychology behind architecture and the impact a space can have on a person’s mood and wellbeing. With a Bachelor of Architecture and Masters of Architecture from the University of NSW, her focus is on design that is meaningful, functional, fosters principals of sustainability, and is a genuine reflection of the end user.

Jackson

Health and Wellbeing Manager

Jackson brings a high-energy and playful disposition to the team; his light-hearted attitude to work bringing joy to the studio. Jackson spends most of his time napping or trying to convince everyone it’s break time. He displays an innate gift for knowing exactly who needs the most affection and attention and takes his responsibilities seriously with his paw-some spirit helping to relieve stress and keeping everyone calm and happy. Jackson’s love of nature and the outdoors means that he’s only in the studio on a part-time basis. On his days off he enjoys basking in the sun and regular agility training.
